Heartland is a Canadian family comedy-drama tv set serial which debuted in Canada on CBC on October 14, 2007.

The series is based on the Heartland book serial past Lauren Brooke and follows Amy Fleming and her older sister Louise "Lou" Fleming on their Albertan-based family ranch, 'Heartland', where they alive with their widowed grandfather Jack Bartlett, their male parent Tim Fleming and hired farmhand Ty Borden. While experiencing the highs and lows of life on the ranch, the family unit bonds and grows closer.

Mallory rides the horses at Heartland and participates in jumping competitions. Jack was injured while rescuing the horses and lost his memory of the incident, but later remembered and had Wes arrested. In a later on flavor, he steals Spartan in the centre of the nighttime and legally buys him at an auction. Wes's plan was to sell Spartan for more money so that Amy would never meet her horse again. After beating Wes up, Tim and Jack rescue Spartan and return him home to Amy. After "The Ties That Demark" Wes isn't seen or mentioned again.
